Rashmi Sutton is a Hill mom and Maury parent
What do a dinner hosted by Councilmember David Grosso, a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral, and a week-long stay at a lovely Maine cottage have in common? They will all be up for grabs tomorrow evening at Maury at the Market, Maury Elementary School’s annual live and silent auction at Eastern Market’s North Hall from 7-10 p.m.
All of our Hill neighbors and friends are encouraged to take a break from college basketball and join us at this fun, adults-only night out to support Maury, a neighborhood school serving children in grades PK3-5. Your ticket includes food catered by Nando’s, desserts courtesy of Capitol Hill Cake Mom, and an open wine and beer bar, supplied by The Argonaut.
Maury at the Market is the school’s flagship fundraiser, with net proceeds directed to the Maury PTA. In turn, the PTA provides activities and resources that support students’ school experience, such as funding for classroom aides and academic and enrichment programs.
The evening features a silent auction with hundreds of items, a live auction, and a raffle with a chance to win a new iPad.
Auction items range from the necessary to the indulgent and include:

- Three-month Results Gym flagship membership
