Over the weekend did you have to stop yourself mid-thought each time your mind automatically went to “Let me just run over to Frag….oh. Ugh.”
Did you stop-by just to stare at it mournfully? Did you make a donation but still feel like you need to help in some other way?
The Capitol Hill Community Foundation plans to collect donations and staff a booth at the Frager’s pop-up shop at Eastern Market, which runs on weekends from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers are needed to work booth shifts from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekends of June 15th-16th, 22nd-23rd, and 29th-30th.
The foundation is coordinating fundraising and the managing of the funds as they did after the fire at Eastern Market. All of the money, 100 percent of your donation, will be distributed without administrative deductions.
