Spike Mendelsohn Dishes on Béarnaise and Gets Grilled on 'Life After Top Chef'

Let’s file this under, “Things you probably missed last night on prime time television.”

While you were watching President Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney duke it out, Good Stuff Eatery’s Spike Mendelsohn aired some lively comments of his own.

The Top Chef contestant appeared on Bravo’s Life After Top Chef which chronicles the “where are they now” lives of Spike, Jen Carroll (Top Chef, Las Vegas Finalist), Richard Blais (Top Chef, All Star Winner), and Fabio Viviani (Top Chef Season Five, Contestant).

Spike dished on his new steak frites restaurant, Béarnaise, slated to open at the Thai Roma space on Pennsylvania Avenue, just a few doors down from We, The Pizza and Good Stuff Eatery. According to Spike, the restaurant will serve up three course meals and will be a bit fancier than his burger and pizza joints.

He also got grilled by Richard, who called Spike the “new face of heartburn,” and suggested to Jen that a Playboy centerfold might help to lure-in business investors. See what antics you missed last night in the video below:
