Gourmet food trucks are all the rage these days. The New York Times has covered the trend, and the Food Network recently launched a new TV show, The Great Food Truck Race.
DC is holding its own in the Food Truck wars, with favorites like SweetFlow Mobile, eat Wonky, Curbside Cupcake, and the somewhat famous Fojol Bros, a “traveling culinary carnival.”
On October 7 and 8, these trucks (along with their inexplicably less respected bretheren, street vendors), will compete in DC’s first annual Curbside Cookoff. DC is letting the public pick the vendors, so head on over to the website asap and vote for your favorite — voting ends at midnight tonight.
