Slowly the city is creaking back into action. The public school kids are back and the Rose’s line-waiters are in full employment.

What’s happening this weekend?

Tonight, taste the history of Balvenie Scotch at the Hill Center. You will learn the history of The Balvenie, and taste the award-winning 12, 14, 17 and 21-year-old Balvenie marks. Your reward for all that learning will be Balvenie cocktails and tasty nibbles. The event starts at 7 p.m. and is $35. Get your tickets here.

Capitol Hill Art Workshop’s Friday ARTnight is devoting to craft making and craft beers. From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. you can chill, craft and sip tasty brews.  Call 202.547.6839 to register.

Metro Chapter of the Association for Gravestone Studies is hosting Operation Conservation, a workshop to provide educational outreach for those in our area who are interested in cemetery conservation. Support our homeless neighbors with the folks from Capitol Hill Group Ministry at the first Sip & Savor. Enjoy tasty nibbles, sip local beers while listening to local artists. Sunday afternoon the Hill Center and Quicksilver Productions presents Frank Solivan and the Dirty Kitchen for a few hours of roots music and downhome Americana.
