If you’re a parent on Capitol Hill, you may feel a little overwhelmed by the maze of school options available to you– not to mention that you may not know anything about MySchoolDC, the lottery system for schools in the District. Should you entrust your precious tyke to your in-boundary school option? What IS your in-bound school anyway? (Click here to find out.)
Should you be bold and try your luck with a charter school? What about parochial school? Maybe you could even try your hand at homeschooling, but you might not know how to get started. AAACK!!! Do you wish there were an organized effort where, instead of running all over the neighborhood and the city at large, you could instead spend some time talking to teachers and administrators from many schools in a cozy setting you could even walk to?
Boy, are you all lucky duckies! The Moms on the Hill (MoTH) School Fair is this Sunday, November 6, from 2-5 p.m. The fair will take place at Capitol Hill Day School, 210 South Carolina Avenue SE (across from Garfield Park).
There will be around 60 school representatives, as well as reps from MySchoolDC and the DCPS Office of Enrollment. Per MoTH, here is the list of schools who will attend:
