Off-Hill: Celebrate Hispanic Heritage at the Kennedy Center 10/1

Screen Shot 2016-09-30 at 9.43.26 AMHey there, Capitol Hill! You know we have your weekend covered with our kick-ass To Do list, but sometimes you want to venture off-Hill for an event or two. Here is a suggestion from our friends at the Kennedy Center: Celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with them on Saturday, October 1!

Starting at 10:30 a.m. and going until 4 p.m., you can enjoy FREE performances, demos and crafts inspired by Latinx culture. The event is called Con Las Puertas Abiertas (With Open Doors) and it promises to be really great. Should it rain on Saturday, the terrace events will move indoors.

You can learn more about the day’s activities by visiting the event’s site at http://www.kennedy-center.org/calendar/event/XQKCF

The marquee event, the BIG HUG for the Kennedy Center, will happen around 2 p.m. for those who are into hugging and leaving.
