It’s going to be gorgeous this weekend. Get out there now and enjoy it!

But a few things first…

Tonight the Reduced Shakespeare Company, known for performing all of the Bard’s works in the span of an two hour show, return to DC with a new piece titled William Shakespeare’s Long Lost First Play (abridged). A mash up of all his famous speeches with plenty of physical comedy and puns to please everyone. Tickets are $35-$75 and they are available here. The show runs through May 8th so you have time but these guys will sell out quickly…

In the Test Kitchen of Union Market learn to make a body scrub with the folks at Follain, the sustainable and all-natural beauty purveyor at the market. Ah Love Oil and Vinegar will assist students and light refreshments will be surveyed and everyone will take home their very own jar of scrub. The class is from 6pm to 8pm and tickets are $33 and are available here.

At the Capital Fringe’s Logan Arts Space, Pontless Theatre opens Hugo Ball. A one-of-a-kind spectacle loosely based on the life of Hugo Ball, one of the founders of the highly influential DADA anti-art movement. Through Ball’s story, the show explores themes of art, love, faith, and the unexpected cost of pushing the boundaries between puppetry, mask, visual art, and dance. Tickets are $25 and are available here. The show runs through May 14th.

Friday night vocalist Joanna Wallfisch and pianist Dan Tepfer perform at the Atlas as part of the weekend’s Jazz Appreciation Mini Series.  Tickets to the individual performance are $28 and ticket packages are available for the weekend. Saturday the Tizer Trio features world jazz fusion powerhouse of all-star line-up of musicians led by keyboardist, composer Lao Tizer joined by Senegalese bassist Cheikh N’Doye, and drummer Joel Rosenblatt. Sunday saxophonist Brad Linde, Washington’s “bebop son” pays homage to the legendary tenor saxophonist Lester Young. Tickets for all the jazz performances are available here.

Saturday Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) presents Capitol Hill Art League’s spring juried exhibit for member artists, Vertical. The opening will take place 5:00pm-7:00pm and is free and open to the public. Juror Marsha Steiger will speak at 5:30pm and present awards to the prize-winning artists.

Sunday the Folger Shakespeare Library celebrates everyone’s favorite son of a glovemaker’s 400th birthday. From 12pm to 4pm attendees can enjoy sword fights, food trucks, Shakespearean insults and best of all cake.
