I was recently offered a free trial of DC-based Hourly Husbands’ services –which was not in any way as salacious as it sounds. You click the top right tab where it says “Book a Husband” and modify the details (time, date, type of chore) and after receiving a confirmation call or email from the company –I got my confirmation from Sarah– you get a visit from one of the guys. On the day of my service call, José arrived right on time. Although I had already discussed the nature of the chores I needed fulfilled, José double-checked and inspected the situation. He cleaned the gutters and painted over a patch that had water damage– a job that is not only time-consuming but which is also hard to perform, as water stains are tough to make disappear with paint alone. (Okay, so it wasn’t hypothetical.)
