Are you a bus or rail commuter? Would you like to have a say in how Metro is run? Why not become part of the all-volunteer Riders’ Advisory Council?

From the WMATA press release:

The 21-member Council includes six individuals from Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, two at-large members, and the head of the Accessibility Advisory Committee.

Council meetings are open to the public. Members of the public are provided the opportunity and encouraged to address the Council as part of the meeting. There is a public comment period at the beginning of each meeting during which individuals can address any topic. There are also opportunities to provide comments related to specific items on the agenda either in person during the meeting, or online prior to the meeting via links on the agenda page. Individuals providing comments in person are asked to limit their comments to two (2) minutes per instance. Individuals providing comments online are asked to do so prior to noon on the day of the meeting.

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in the lobby level Meeting Room at Metro’s Headquarters located at 600 5th Street NW, Washington, DC. Please call 202-962-2891 or send emailfor more information. You may also email the Council if you have a comment or suggestion that you would like to share.
