Meaty Addition to Barracks Row, Coming Soon

Nathan Anda of Red Apron will open a neighborhood bar on Barracks Row, hopefully as soon as this fall. After the quick and, as it turns out, legally embattled, closing of Kraze Burgers on Barracks Row last spring, the cozy spot at 415 8th Street SE sat empty for well over a year. During that time, Barracks Row has seen its culinary scene blow up, largely thanks to Aaron Silverman’s Rose’s Luxury, and that one write-up on Bon Appétit magazine. You know the one. There was also this recent piece about the line in the Washington Post, by the way. Any restaurant whose waiting line is deserving of a front-page article can pretty much turn a whole street on its head.

Now Neighborhood Restaurant Group, whose many restaurants include Bluejacket & Arsenal at Yards Park, will be taking over the cozy space, bringing all manner of charcuterie and meats along with it. The Barracks Row restaurant will follow a similar format to another Neighborhood Restaurant Group property, B Side, in Merrifield’s Mosaic District, and will accommodate 45-50 patrons.

Mmmm. Meat.
