Healing From Hipsterdom is tonight at The Fridge DC.

Well we got what we wanted. Summer has arrived in all its face searing glory. Stay hydrated, wear sunscreen and maybe check out some of these events?

Tonight the Hill Center hosts an opening reception for the Hill Center Galleries 2015 Open Regional Juried Exhibition. Mark Leithauser, Senior Curator and Chief of Design with the National Gallery of Art curated this show which features 102 pieces from DC, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware artists. The reception is from 6pm to 8pm and if free and open to all.

Are you a hipster? Do you want to leave that bespoke, hairy, skinny jean, artisal lifestyle behind? You may be interested in Hipster Facism: Healing from Hipsterdom at The Fridge. An evening of performance art by artist Eames Armstrong. The event is from 7pm to 10pm and the $10n tickets can be purchased at the door.

Friday night grab a picnic and head to Yards Park for the Friday night concert series. This week the reggae group Jah Works takes the stage.

Do they allow camping at Yards Park? Glamping maybe? Because you are just going to want to head back there on Saturday for an afternoon of wine tasting sponsored by the Washington City Paper called Wine Yards. The $35 includes unlimited wine tastings and a souvenir glass. If you like what you try you will be able to purchase wines to take home. There will also be local vendors selling food which consodering the unlimited tastings sounds like a good idea. Also wear sunscreen. The event is from 1pm to 5pm and you can purchase a ticket in advance here.

Sunday is your last chance to see Tom Stopppard’s classic weirdo farce Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Check it out and start your week feeling oddly off center and glad you aren’t friends with a moody Daneish prince.
