There was a time when Screen on the Green was the only outdoor movie night around. Now neighborhoods all over the DC area are hosting their own summer movie series, and the Hill is no exception. New to this year’s lineup: Congressional Cemetery. The first of their “Cinematery” series will be a viewing ofAlfred Hitchcock’s The Birds this Friday, May 15, from 7:30pm – 11:30pm. There is a suggested donation of $10.
The Capitol Riverfront movie series runs every Thursday from June 4 until September 3. The schedule is below. And for those on the north side of the Hill, the NoMa Summer Screen series plays on Wednesdays from May 27 until August 12.
The Union Market Drive-In is also back. So far, only the June events are posted, running on Friday nights. The lot will opens 6 and the movie begins at 8. There is a $10 parking fee, but the event is free for walkers/bikers.
