Sometimes you just want to get out of the office for the day, and springtime seems to heighten this desire. Wouldn’t it be great if you could ditch the desk and laptop and still make new contacts in the neighborhood? Is that still considered work (why not?)
If you’re an avid golfer or just looking for a new networking opportunity on the Hill, register for the annual St. Peter School Golf Classic coming up on May 4, 2015. This year’s event will be held at the Country Club at Woodmore in Mitchellville, Maryland and is sure to be a great day outside playing a round with other Capitol Hill folks. The event is open to the public – you don’t have to be a St. Peter’s parent to play.
The Classic will begin with registration opening at 9:00 a.m. and will include eighteen holes of golf, a number of individual contests, and a post-play reception. Registration includes golf fees, range balls, boxed lunch, tournament logo shirt, and the post-golf party that includes open bar, food, and prize drawings. All proceeds from the Classic go to scholarships, facility improvements, and curriculum development at St. Peter School.
The Classic is also a great opportunity for Hill-based businesses to get exposure and network. A number of sponsorship opportunities are available, but they are being gobbled up fast.

St. Peter School was founded in 1868 and serves St. Peter’s and St. Joseph’s parishes on Capitol Hill, along with four other DC parishes.
