This Week on WAMU: Broadcasting From Capitol Hill

urlAll this week, Kojo Nnamdi is broadcasting from the Folger Theater. In partnership with Roll Call, WAMU’s Metro Connection, and the Folger Shakespeare Library, Kojo is covering the political Capitol Hill as well as our neighborhood. As described by the website,

For a full week we’ll be broadcasting from the Folger, where one entrance faces Congress, and the other abuts a historic neighborhood of rowhouses and restaurants. We’ll get face time with House members who commute from their home districts by Metro and senators who rack up huge frequent-flyer accounts with cross-country flights. We’ll explore the disconnect between the way voters view Congress and the way staffers view their workplace. We’ll also make connections — and shed light on differences — between a national institution and the city we call home.

You can catch up on the segments that have aired so far on Kojo’s website. If you don’t know who Kojo is, his show is a favorite of many of our writers at THIH, so tune in!
