So there is a big game that will steal focus this weekend but what else is going on?

Tonight, Patriots vs. Seahawks has nothing on the rivalry between queens Mary Stuart and Elizabeth 1. Both had legitimate claims to the throne but only one lost her head. The drama Mary Stuart plays out on the Folger stage starring Kate Eastwood Norris as the unlucky Mary and Holly Twyford as Elizabeth. The show runs through March 8th and tickets are available here.

Friday night brush up on your drawing skills at CHAW‘s Working from the Figure class. The class is not instructed but is supervised by artist Will Fleischell. Cost is $20 and BYO materials.

Saturday morning in the Friends of the Northeast Library‘s (FONEL) used book sale. From 10:30am to 2pm, in the basement of the library, there will three rooms full of a variety of donated fiction and non-fiction books, kids books, and DVDs for sale. The library

This weekend scientist turned comedian Tim Lee returns to the Atlas for four performances. Lee has developed a huge following after gaining You Tube fame for his cerebral comedy and tirelessly touring the country. His shows tend to sell out so get your tickets soon.

Sunday morning try some jazz along with your eggs at Vendetta’s Jazz Brunch with local jazz quartet the Captones. Music starts at 11:30. There is no cover though the unlimited mimosa will run you $15.

Sunday night there’s a Katy Perry concert on TV…
