Progress may be inching along on the H Street streetcar project (the latest report from WAMU says the train line could be ready by November) but don’t let that stop you from enjoying a leisurely ride down H Street.
This Saturday H Street Main Street along with a group of H Street businesses are teaming up to offer free pedicab rides down the block. They’re calling it the “Streetcar Stroll and Roll.” The free bike rides start at Union Station (on the H Street, NE side) and run down the corridor, all the way to Maryland Ave, NE.
The free rides are being offered from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday, and the pedicabs will drop you off at your favorite restaurant, bar, or local business. There’s also a whole new crop of businesses that have recently sprouted up on H Street. You just might want to check out these new spots:
