Luckily, he’s had a loving foster mom to take care of him in the meantime. Hill resident Rebecca Mondics saw a photo of Koa on Facebook and immediately knew she had to help save him.
Koa continues to make friends with other members of the animal kingdom. Rebecca takes him along to the barn where she rides horses. She says, “It was pretty clear when Koa first met a horse that he had no idea what it was or how to act. At first he would bark and run in big excited circles around the horses. Eventually he calms down and even gives them kisses on their noses when he gets close enough.”
“Koa is a very loving and affectionate dog, Rebecca says. “He is amazingly smart and adorable. He is willing to try anything if he trusts you.” Does Koa sound like the perfect companion for you? Meet him and other adoptable dogs from City Dogs Rescue this Sunday, July 27 from 12pm to 3pm at Metro Mutts, 407 8th Street SE.
