Adoptable Pet of the Week: Koa the Explorer

Rebecca says, “I’ve loved helping Koa transition from his old life to his new one. He was very skinny at first. He had parasites and showed high anxiety around other dogs. Now his health issues are resolved, and he shows much less anxiety. He loves to explore, and he loves cats, although not in a way that is fun for cats.”

Koa continues to make friends with other members of the animal kingdom. Rebecca takes him along to the barn where she rides horses. She says, “It was pretty clear when Koa first met a horse that he had no idea what it was or how to act. At first he would bark and run in big excited circles around the horses. Eventually he calms down and even gives them kisses on their noses when he gets close enough.”
