One of the most creative ways of meeting your neighbors while caring for your community at large is coming up on Saturday, October 19: A Literary Feast. You can now register for one of the thirty-three amazing book/dinner combinations of your choice or you can ask to be surprised (in case you’re a gambling meat-eating type or a vegan who’s more interested in discussing books and making friends).

In case you’re not familiar with it, A Literary Feast is a series of book-themed dinner parties hosted at homes across the Hill from 6:30 to 8:45 pm. Afterward, all the participants congregate at the Hill Center for dessert until 11 pm! The best part? The proceeds, managed by the Capitol Hill Community Foundation, are used to find grants for local schools.

This year the number of dinners has grown to an amazing thirty-three. You can access the book list with full descriptions and dietary specifications by clicking here. There are dinners for every single taste, from vegetarian to piscatarian to meatatarian, you’re sure to find a good book and a dinner to go with it.

What are you waiting for? Registration goes through September 27th only!
