Right about now, the noise of the holiday season usually hits critical mass. Between the last-minute madness of shopping, traveling, party-going and baking, there’s little room or time for silence.
But tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m., millions of Americans across the country will pause in silence and observe the tragedy that took place in Newtown, Connecticut last week.
Church bells will toll 26 times. Lawmakers will stop talking–at least for a moment. School children will sit in hushed silence.
The tragic shooting that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary is a reminder that life is precious and a gift. Especially during the holidays, take time to find silence and reflect on your own life and its countless gifts.
