I have just learned via the Interwebs that Saturday’s moon is supposed to be a SUPERMOON. What does that mean, you ask? Apparently, the moon is closer to earth around this time of year, and so it’s going to look absolutely gigantic! So, in addition to all the awesome things you are planning to do on Saturday (Jen DeMayo will, appropriately, have that rundown later), add a moonlit stroll and your own version of SUPERMOON!
Take your dog or the kids for a stroll and we would love to add your pictures in our slideshow! Go to Congressional Cemetery or take a picture by Eastern Market! Or perhaps put a moon-bonnet on Mr. Lincoln or Major General Greene! Whatever you do, enjoy it, and enjoy a lovely spring night in the best neighborhood SUPERMOON has ever seen. Incidentally, if you are taking a longer stroll, you should walk yourself all the way down to the Hirshhorn and catch Song 1! The magic will be over on May 11th!
